“Murray to the Mountains” Rail Trail – Destination Bright

Bright is THE destination for cyclists, being blessed with some of the most picturesque scenery and Australia’s number 1 cycling attraction, the renowned Murray to the Mountains Rail Trail.

The rail trail provides 94km of bitumen sealed track well suited to both cycling and walking and has a gentle gradient that makes it suitable for all ages and levels of fitness, and is a must do for all visitors to Bright.

Starting at Wangaratta and finishing in the heart of Bright, the rail trail links to wineries, the Ovens River, various picnic spots and the towns of Beechworth and Myrtleford.

You can hire bikes in the town or just bring your own. The picture above was taken just out the back of Grevillea Gardens, so you’d certainly be staying in the right place!
